Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and our team. We are now offering contactless delivery, while continuing to follow our RSA practices. We have taken steps to make this process as safe as possible, including the following measures:
- when we check ID, our drivers will examine your ID from a distance without having to handle it personally
- our drivers will no longer require a signature from you (our drivers will take down your details instead)
- our drivers will try to maintain a social distance wherever possible which means they will take care when handing over items or will leave them on the ground where it is safe to do so
Due to high demand, we are currently experiencing delays in processing orders. Please allow an additional 5 business days prior to contacting customer service about your order. You will automatically receive notifications as your order progresses.

Delivery Now offers metro delivery in under 2 hours, for orders placed between 9am and 6pm. Delivery Now is available in selected metro areas and for products based on your local store. Check below for eligible metro suburbs in your state.
We also give you the option in 'You Choose' deliveries to either have delivery anytime before 5pm or you can pick any time within the next 7 days .
Never miss a delivery again
Standard metro orders requiring your signature^ will now receive an Email/SMS the night before delivery, allowing you to reschedule if you aren't going to be home. You will also receive a reminder on the morning of delivery and notification upon successful/unsuccessful delivery.
^Some delivery postcodes may be serviced by a different courier, preventing this service being available.
Deliveries shipped from our partners
Some products purchased through the Dan Murphys website will be dispatched and delivered by one of our affiliated partners. In these instances, different delivery time frames may apply.
Dan Murphy's Direct from Supplier
Dan Murphy's Direct from Supplier items are sourced directly from boutique distributors and importers and depending on their location, delivery times may vary. Direct from Supplier items will arrive between 4-10 business days for Metro and Regional orders and up to three weeks for Country areas.
Items are delivered separately from each supplier.
PO Boxes and Parcel Collects may take longer due to redirection. With this information, it is preferable that you alter your delivery address to a street address, either private or business.
To redeem your free delivery you must enter your promotional code in the shopping cart. The code is only valid during the promotional period specified in each particular promotion. Free delivery is only valid in metro areas. Excludes Direct from Supplier products, beer, cider and premixed drinks. Cannot be used in conjunction with same day, next day, pick a business day or Saturday deliveries. The Offer can only be redeemed once per customer. The offer may be withdrawn at any time without notice.
Some delivery methods may not be available to you. This depends on which delivery partner operates in your area.
Some items may not be available for delivery. By law we are unable to deliver products that exceed 70% ABV (alcohol by volume). For more information on product retail limits, click here
If you pay by PayPal or credit card, you can request that your delivery is left on your doorstep if no-one is home. Our carriers reserve the right to leave a card (instead of your order) even if you request an unattended delivery.
They may do so if:
- There is no clear delivery instruction authorising them to leave the parcel in a safe place
- Somebody is home but they cannot provide proof of age
- The driver is concerned that minors are present in the vicinity of your premises
Unattended delivery is not available for:
- Orders paid for by gift card
- Same day delivery
- Premises that do not receive daily roadside letter delivery from Australia POST
- First time orders
- Guest customers (not registered)

South Australia's Liquor Licensing Legislation
For deliveries to South Australia, you agree that: (a) on delivery, the recipient of delivery will be required to (i) sign a declaration confirming their name and that they are over 18 years of age, and (ii) if the recipient looks under 25 (at our discretion), provide proof of ID (including photographic identification and date of birth) and the name and date of birth of the recipient will be recorded; and (b) we are instructed to deliver the ordered products to a person at the delivery address provided they meet the "Delivery pre-conditions". Information collected and recorded under this condition will be held for a minimum of 12 months. These are requirements of South Australia's Liquor Licensing Legislation and will apply from 1 July 2019, and if the recipient is unable to comply, we will not be able to complete the delivery. This does not apply to deliveries where you have specifically instructed us to leave the order at an unattended delivery address.
