Shipsmart will no longer be operating as a service. For existing users, auto renewal will not take place beyond the current subscription expiry date.
ShipSmart is only available to registered My Dan's members who are 18 years of age or over and wish to order products online and have those products delivered to their nominated delivery address, or send gift orders to an individual recipient at a single delivery address within the same zone (metro or regional).
ShipSmart is available for deliveries to metro and regional areas. We cannot offer ShipSmart deliveries in country areas. Visit the Delivery Options page to find out which zone your postcode falls into.
ShipSmart is not available on corporate orders, corporate gifting, gifting to multiple recipients in a single order, purchase of any items for resale to a third party, or for trade customers.
Metro and regional subscription fees
The introductory subscription fee for ShipSmart is:
- $50 per year for metro deliveries; and
- $80 per year for regional deliveries.
The introductory subscription fee is valid until 31 March 2015. We reserve the right to change the subscription fee at any time after 31 March 2015.
The subscription fee is payable either via our website or through the Dan Murphy's Customer Service Team using the payment options as notified on our website.
The ShipSmart subscription commences on the date of payment of the subscription fee and lasts for one year. At the end of the one year period you can re-purchase ShipSmart . The ShipSmart subscription does not automatically renew.
To become a subscriber to the ShipSmart delivery service, you need to register online or through our Customer Service Team. Registration involves you providing a name, phone number, delivery address, email address and a secure password.
The ShipSmart service is personal to the individual registered user and is non-transferable. The ShipSmart subscription does not cover the individual registered user's family, friends or other associates.
Auto Renewal Terms and Conditions
I authorise Dan Murphy's to charge the applicable subscription fee for the auto renewal of my recurring yearly ShipSmart subscriptions to the credit card provided by me to purchase my ShipSmart subscription in this transaction.
I also consent to Dan Murphy's contacting me by any means, including by telephone, post or email, about the auto renewal of my recurring yearly ShipSmart subscriptions and to obtain or validate payment details for the auto renewal of my subscriptions.
30 days prior to the expiry of your yearly ShipSmart subscription, we will email you to advise you that your ShipSmart subscription is due to expire. We will also notify you of the applicable subscription fee that will be charged to your nominated credit card (or such other payment method as nominated by you) on the date advised in the email and the ShipSmart terms and conditions that apply to the renewal.
You will also be provided with the ability to cancel your Auto Renewal option by the date specified in the email. If you do not cancel your Auto Renewal option by the date specified in the above email:
(a) You will be deemed to have consented to the renewal of the ShipSmart subscription for another year on the ShipSmart terms and conditions notified in the email; and
(b) The applicable subscription fee will be charged to your nominated credit card (or such other payment method as nominated by you) on the date advised in the email.
ShipSmart Auto Renewal Terms and Conditions
We have two levels of ShipSmart:
Metro - Which covers all the Metro areas and costs $50 p.a.
Regional - Which covers all Metro and Regional areas and costs $80 p.a.
We also have limits on delivery of Beers per subscription - 10 cases of beer.
During renewal we provide customers a flexibility to switch to Metro/Regional if they wish to. Eg - Customer had a Metro Subscription last year and while renewing if customer has moved to Regional area then customer can opt to switch to the Regional subscription. In this scenario if customer opts for Auto renewal, we will be renewing the current subscription which is Regional for the customer every year.
If a customer has unused Beer delivery orders they wont be carried forward once the renewal takes place. So upon renewal, the annual beer case limit will be reset to 10 cases again.
A ShipSmart subscription entitles customers to free standard delivery on the following products:
- Unlimited wine deliveries per year;
- Unlimited deliveries of glass/bottle spirits measuring 500mL or greater per year;
- Unlimited deliveries of accessories per year;
- Beer, premix drinks (RTDs) and cider deliveries – combined limit of 10 cases per year. A case equals 9 litres (or part thereof).
- Exclusions: Non-liquor products, Dan Murphy's Direct from Supplier products, wine cabinets, monterey bottle openers, and any other items not supplied directly from a Dan Murphy's store.
From time to time retail limits are applied to products. These retail limits also apply to the above deliveries.
You can take advantage of the above delivery benefits as part of one order or across multiple orders within the year. You can make a maximum of one order per day.
For the avoidance of doubt, our existing Terms and Conditions will continue to apply to the purchases of the underlying products.
Exclusions and limitations
The ShipSmart subscription fee is non-refundable. Refunds cannot be given in the event you change your mind.
ShipSmart deliveries are not available for purchases made in-store
ShipSmart deliveries are not available for online purchases of non-liquor products, spirits measuring less than 500mL, Dan Murphy's Direct from Supplier products, wine cabinets, monterey bottle openers, and any other items not supplied directly from a Dan Murphy's store.
ShipSmart deliveries are not available for same day, next business day or pick a day deliveries.
ShipSmart is not available in country areas.
ShipSmart is not available for corporate orders, corporate gifting and gifting to multiple recipients in a single order.
Individuals must provide their correct delivery address as part of the ShipSmart sign up process. Abnormal levels of change of delivery addresses during the course of the subscription are not permitted. Individuals must not provide false delivery addresses at any time for the purpose of obtaining the benefits of the ShipSmart service. Dan Murphy's reserves the right to verify the individual's delivery address at any time.
Dan Murphy's reserves the right, at any time, without notice, to terminate an individual's ShipSmart subscription and retain part, or all, of the Subscription Fee paid by the individual if it suspects, on reasonable grounds, that the individual has:
- provided an incorrect delivery address at any time;
- used another person's address with or without their permission;
- allowed another person to use their ShipSmart subscription;
- changed their delivery address abnormal number of times during the course of the subscription;
- engaged in any inappropriate use of the ShipSmart service;
- used or attempted to use the ShipSmart service in a manner contrary to these terms; and/or
- engaged in any dishonesty, fraudulent behaviour or in any way tampered with the ShipSmart service.
Changes to ShipSmart Terms and Conditions
We may change, suspend or terminate these terms and conditions, the ShipSmart delivery service, and any benefits under the ShipSmart delivery service at any time. We will give advance notice of any such circumstance on www.danmurphys.com.au or you can obtain such details by calling our Contact Centre on 1300 723 388. Where we change the ShipSmart terms and conditions, the ShipSmart delivery service or any benefits under the ShipSmart delivery service, an updated copy of them will be available at help.danmurphys.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/360000054835-ShipSmart-Terms-and-Conditions or by telephoning our Customer Service Team on 1300 72 33 88. Continuing to use the ShipSmart delivery service after the period of advance notice has expired will be deemed acceptance of the amended terms and conditions.
